Ski Lessons

With experience as a qualified Ski Instructor. Ski Lessons can be advised on and organized too.

Beginners

Söll has an excellent ski school and gentle nursery slopes just on the edge of the village. The gondola system starts from here, taking improving novices up onto the Höhe Salve to enjoy several gentle slopes and incredible views. There is a lovely 2.5 mile 'family' run down through the trees back to the nursery slopes.

Intermediates

An excellent choice of blue and red runs to keep the intermediate happy. The Ski Welt area pass offers a superb choice of over 280kms of scenic runs connecting 90 lifts.

Advanced

There is an amazing choice of long, well maintained slopes on the circuit. The back of Söll's Höhe Salve also boasts several hair-raising blacks, plus exciting off-piste to really test the expert.

Snowboarding

Söll has a good attitude towards snowboarders. Freeriders should make a bee-line for the Höhe Salve. For those more concerned with jumping check out the half-pipe and snowboard park, or take yourself to the Westendorf area with its infamous freestyle park. Having picked soll as your destination you'll have notice we are very central in the ski welt area, which means you can ski from soll to a different village everyday.

Beginners

Heres some advice to those taking ski-school Lessons. Skiing holidays are not cheap, but dont forget to make them worth while, by taking part in lessons ( one of the reason you are coming over "is to learn skiing" so for beginners it is advised to take lessons for 5 days 4hrs ( 2hrs morning - 2hrs afternoon)). This may seem like alot of time in lessons, but I can safely say this is needed if your a complete novice. This involves being in a group with everyone all at the same level. Plus its fun !

Intermediate's

Well your time can be a little more flexible but dont forget , if your only skiing once or twice a year, it is worth going back into lessons to brush up on all the tips you may have forgotton. Not only that you get to see more and meet more skiiers of your own level. Alot of the Time our professional ski Instructors, whom may I say have excellent english speaking skills, will be only delighted to show you their mountains.

If for some reason you are not keen on the Idea of spending all day in lessons, our ski school have half day lessons for two hours, this only applies to Intermediates.

For advanced skiers , private tution can be organised , this tends to be more expensive , but if you are on holiday with members of your group whom have the same standard, then you can share the costs.

Having My Tyrolean ski-Instructing qualifications, and thought many to skiers over the years, I have advised and helped many skiers in the past. Knowing skiers and snowboarders demands, this service will be gladly passed on to all who stay at Bergviewhaus.

For Snowboarders , snowboarding is easier to pick up, especially if your balance is good. Beginner snowboarders tend to take 3 half day lessons. This Is normally enough to link your turns and be able to tackle the blue and sometimes the red runs, if your quick to learn.

If you have snowboarded before, and just want to brush up on your technic there are intermediate classes for 3 half days aswell. A private lesson is also not a bad option if you want to progress that bit quicker instead of having to be in a class.

Tuning up your rusted ski equipment

For all those skiers and boarders staying at our apartments, we have an overnight full ski and snowboard service available at cheap rates, along with various other discounted rates in our local ski-shop.We also provide a dry roomed ,ski locker service which takes the hassle out of carrying your equipment back and forward to the slopes every day ( This is a small fee of around one to two euros a day per person). Well worth it if you just fancy hitting the bars for apres ski without having to lugg your equipment around.
